Hoover Reservoir Park offers a peaceful and serene getaway in Columbus. The park and lake provide guests with a range of recreational activities from picnicking, hiking, boating and fishing. Also for the bird watching enthusiasts, the park offers a wide variety of bird types ranging from common to rare. This includes frequent sites of the American Bald Eagle throughout the year. The reservoir is an important feature of Columbus for tourists as well as for the water it provides to the city.
The park also includes: the Dam, Hoover Nature Preserve, Hoover Mudflats and Boardwalk, Hoover Meadows, Cubbage Parkland with disc golf course, Mud Hen Marsh, Oxbow area, and the Walnut Bluffs area with adventure high ropes course (available w/permit).
