We are responsible for the planting, pruning and removal of trees on public property including Parks, Public Grounds, and Street Right-of-Way. Trees growing along roads are called street trees and are generally located in the tree lawn, an area between the street and sidewalk. The tree lawn is within the street right-of-way and is public property as are the trees.

We're Green!

Every year we plant at least 2,000 new trees throughout the Greater Columbus area. The Carbon offset for 2,000 trees is 400 tons of carbon dioxide emissions, which is the equivalent of carbon dioxide a medium sized car getting 21 mpg would emit if it traveled 727,284 miles in a single year! We prune 6,000 trees per year. We remove 1,500 trees each year.
